Continued..........
I always like to have a bit of fun with my portrait sessions. It's a good way to make people feel comfortable and gives them ownership of their session. It's not just me telling them what to do. Communion sessions tend to be very serious with serious poses and serious expressions not your full on toothy smiles, so when you get a ham in front of the camera, you have to let them go for it. The results are often surprising.
So it all starts out quite normal
Nothing unusual here, just good old Communion portraits
Starting to lose interest a bit
OK, time to change gears a little and get some energy back in to the session
Alright kid, do your thing
OK, now we've got some energy and personality
Ooooops, pushed it too far
As a photographer I get to see people at their best, celebrating the best parts of life. That was no exception with this couples portrait session. Not an engagement session but just two people, madly in love who wanted some cool portraits of them as a couple to share with friends and family. "Blue Steel" and "Magnum" were both employed quite successfully :)
Communions are one of those precious times in a young persons life that marks a real milestone. Unlike most of my family portraits I get to use really creative photography and interesting lighting to set a mood that reflects the sanctity and beauty of the occasion.
Just want to thank everyone for an absolutely fantastic 2012. We had a great year capturing some precious memories and it truly is our pleasure sharing those magical moments with you. This is our recommendation for 2013......
